Never had I experienced this before! Quite different, a beginning of an extraordinary journey.
I used to feel proud of my achievement at CAT, but that’s insignificant now. I have reached the B school and a new perspective to life has come to the fore. Life has undergone a drastic change. A rigorous schedule is greeting us everyday. The day begins with “Yoga Session” at 0515 hrs. A myriad of magically useful aasans cured me of a chronic illness. From the morning, orientation classes are scheduled for us culminating with an Alumni interaction session at evening. Then begins the day as proclaimed by seniors. After 1800 hours, the time belongs to them. Endowed with 15 committees and clubs dexterously managed by students, IMT ensures maximum participation in extra-curricular activities. To facilitate our interests and understanding, seniors explain various clubs and committees to us. This is executed using ppts, ably assisted by videos. Keep aside the breaks for snacks and dinner, nobody is supposed to leave the hall.
The show goes on till midnight. No, we are not going to sleep. We form a line and proceed to the PDP(Personality Development Programme) session at the ground. After four hours, we are instructed to leave with a stern warning to attend 'Yoga' session. No sleep is ensured for the first few days. It’s incredible that a person who has never been awake continuously for more than 20 hours, has slept no more than 2 hours in the last 48 hours.
