Well, while reading this article many of my friends(including me!) would be relaxing in the comfortable environment of the AC,but I urge them to put an ear to the never shrinking shouts of penury.
These hapless people are none other but are very own farmers, who feed us with food based commodities. We cannot deny the arduous tasks put up by the farmer. But still, he struggles to make ends meet.
We, in parts, are responsible for this negligence ! We never care to look around whats happening around us. The problem lies in the fact that nobody wants to indulge in risky proposition and they take certain things(like agriculture) for granted ! Now, is the time to move to villages. The farms need the educated youth's discretion to increase its productivity. The farmer needs rewards (psychological and monetory) for his efforts. Declining rate of cultivable land is a concern. Setting up of malls and burdensome SEZs must be discouraged !

Well agriculture is important, but manufactoring tends to be more productive per unit of labor. That is why it was the industrialized nations that became wealthy though the industrial revolution. The average wage and standard of living of a person in a country is then higher.
Also, agricultural economies are at the mercy of weather patterns, disease, and famines. Manufactoring economies have less outside variables to effect them. Service based economies are even more immune to fluctuations, because inventories dont over accumulate, so the business cycle isnt as volitile.
Agriculture cannot produce continuous economic GDP growth per capita because both the supply and demand is limited. The land in a country is limited, and so the amount of food production is limited, although some improvement in productivity is possible through new farming methods or improve crops. The demand for food is also limited because there is a limit to how much people can eat. so doubling food production just result in falling prices and waste. However manufacturing can increase in output through new technology and people always want more and newer products so it can grow indefinitely.
Well!!!!! i didnt have much interest to comment, only doing so as my friend ishan asked for it. See,we can say anything sitting here in ac rooms. But, have you all ever thought what good is this doing to those who are suffering. If we are really interested in the good of others then better do it instead just giving our comments on it. What we post here is something which everybody knows especially those who are giving their comments here. Simply posting and commenting on issues will not not do any good for anybody. If you really want to do good for others do it dont keep discussing making a mockery of their situations.
